Albanian joint venture wins tender to build HPP in Dibra region
, NewsAlbanian joint venture BE-IS & EL-PROM has won a 928 million leks ($8.6 million/7.3 million euro) tender for the construction and operation of Veleshice hydropower plant near the northeastern town of Dibra, the energy ministry said on Monday.
The HPP will be constructed within 8 months from the signing of a 35-year concession contract, the energy ministry said in a press release.
Three bids were submitted in the tender.
The HPP will have an installed capacity of 13,917 kW and will generate up to 47.2 GWh of electricity per year.
Hydro power plants generate 98% of Albania’s electricity output.
