Albania’s KESH invites bids for upgrade of Vau i Dejes HPP dam
, NewsAlbania’s state-owned power corporation KESH said on Friday is inviting bids for upgrading the Gjocaj dam of Vau i Dejes hydropower plant in northern Albania.
The bidding deadline is August 17 and the maximum budget available for the implementation of the project is estimated at 22.8 million leks ($210,900/ 180,300 euro), KESH said in a tender notice published by the country’s public procurement agency.
The assignment will be financed by KESH and the works must be completed within six months after singing a contract, the statement added.
KESH is active in power generation and supply. It supplies almost 70% of Albania’s electricity demand through own generation.
Albania produces 98% of its electricity at hydro power plants, mostly three power plants along the Drin River in the northern part of the country.
