Albania’s Rigolika seeks permit to build small HPP near Korca
, NewsAlbanian company Rigolika has applied for a building permit for the construction of a small hydro power plant, the energy ministry said.
The company plans to build a HPP of up to 2 MW on a tributary of Shkumbin river near the southeastern city of Korca, the energy ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.
Albania produces over 90% of its electricity from HPPs, most of it from three power plants along the Drin river, in the northern part of the country.
