Bulgaria’s HPP Momina Klisura to be closed due to rehabilitation of Belmeken – Sestrimo – Momina Klisura cascade
, NewsActivities for the rehabilitation of the Belmeken – Sestrimo – Momina Klisura cascade in Bulgaria are planned for August, according to the announcement of the Bulgarian Ministry of Environment and Water.
Rehabilitation works will be performed in the period from August 15 to September 24, and the complete shutdown of HPP Momina Klisura is planned.
During this period, HPP Belmeken and HPP Sestrimo will operate in a restrictive regime, and the discharge of spent water into the Kriva riverbed will be done only when it is absolutely necessary for the system or to provide water for irrigation.
