Hidroenergija Montenegro subsidies for the eighth SHPP
, NewsThe Montenegrin Energy Regulatory Agency adopted the request of the company Hidroenergija Montenegro and passed a decision granting that company the status of a privileged producer for the mini hydro power plant Jelovica 1 in the municipality of Berane.
The privileged status of the company Hidroenergija Montenegro guarantees the purchase of each kilowatt hour of electricity produced at an incentive price, which is more than 50% higher than the market price.
“Hidroenergija Montenegro is determined the status of a privileged producer for the production facility of SHPP Jelovica 1. The status of a privileged producer is determined with a validity period of 12 years, starting today,” reads the decision of RAE, which was adopted at the session.
It is the eighth small hydropower plant for Hidroenergija, for which they have a privileged status. Since 2013, they have been granted the status of a privileged producer for SHPPs Jezerštica, Bistrica, Orah, Rmus, Spaljevići 1, Sekular and Jelovica 2. Hidroenergija is the company with the most built SHPPs in Montenegro.
