The Italian Bank Intesa May Finance Nord Stream 2
, NewsThe Italian bank Intesa Sanpaolo is ready to participate in the financing of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, but needs clarity regarding the sanctions against Russia. This was announced by the Intesa manager for Russia Antonio Fallico for the news agency RIA, Reuters said.
“We expect decision by the European Commission on this matter”, he added. Fallico also said, that he meant the potential restrictions regarding the financing of Nord Stream 2. He explained that Intesa is looking into this option since last year, but did not have clarity regarding the western sanctions against Russia.
