Montenegro to call tender for 75 MW wind farm construction
, NewsMontenegro’s government has said it plans to call a tender for the construction of a 75 MW wind farm in Brajici.
A company has expressed interest to invest 100 million euro ($116.3 million) in the construction of a wind farm in the locality of Brajici, the government said in a statement on Thursday.
Therefore, the government approved the launch of a tender for the long-term concession of a land plot in Brajici locality for the construction and operation of the wind farm.
According to Montenegrin media reports, the interested investor is Montenegrin company Vjetroelektrana Budva.
Montenegro is a renewable energy leader in Europe, with more than 40% of its domestic electricity consumption coming from clean energy sources.
