Montenegro should have been informed about the hydro power plant on Drina river
, NewsThe fact that Montenegro has not been informed about the hydro power plant on the Drina “is not a good practice for the future” and “unilateral moves can increase tensions in the region”, said the leader of the Civic Movement URA, Dritan Abazovic. He assessed that it is not good that Montenegro was not informed about the project of the hydroelectric power plant on the river Drina, for which there is an agreement between the Republika Srpska and Serbia.
“When it comes to this particular project, we need to see what the effects are for the environment, which is something particularly sensitive for both countries,” said Abazovic.
When it comes to the controversial Law on Freedom of Religion, which was passed by the previous government in Montenegro, he says that the new Government also believes that this law is necessary, but that it must not be discriminatory towards anyone.
“The existing solution must be changed, because there are some unconstitutional norms. We agree that six articles of the Law should be replaced, some should be deleted, some should be reformulated. We should not raise tensions and create enmity “, Abazovic emphasized, CDM reports.
He said that the land cannot be taken away from anyone and that it is not in accordance with any European laws.
