, NewsThe Secretariat for Energy, Construction, and Transport of the province of Vojvodina has invited applications for grants to back projects to use solar energy for irrigation.
Registered agricultural producers will be able to compete for a total of RSD 10 million in grants, which can cover up to 80% of investment needed for a single project, but no more than RSD 800,000.

According to the document, the project aims to support the installation of energy-efficient equipment for the use of solar energy for irrigation, in order to achieve energy savings, reduce dependency on fossil fuel imports, increase the energy self-sufficiency of the households, reduce emissions, encourage the use of renewables, and upgrade the existing irrigation system.
