Solar plant in Bosnia to be built by EFT Group

, News

UK-based EFT Group, owned by Serbian businessman Vuk Hamovic, is planning to build a 60 MW solar plant in Bosnia’s southern municipality of Bileca.

The plant is designed to cover an area of 133 hectares in the village of Skrobotno, close to the town of Bileca, and to have an estimated annual production of 84 GWh of electricity, news reported, quoting unnamed sources.

Bosnia’s Serb Republic government has already adopted a decision to launch the process of awarding a concession for the project upon a request of London-registered EFT International Investments Holding Limited, the report added.

In Bosnia, EFT controls one of the country’s largest electricity exporters – the 300 MW Stanari thermal power plant, via its subsidiary EFT Rudnik i Termoelektrana Stanari.

It has another subsidiary in the Balkan country – energy trader EFT Bileca.

EFT Group is an energy trading and investment group focused on Western, Central and Southeastern Europe.
