Thermal power plants in Kosovo produced 1,512 GWh in the second quarter of 2020
, NewsThe Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the Energy Balance for the second quarter of 2020. This publication contains data on coal production, production and consumption of electricity, import and export of electricity, as well as import and export of other energy resources.
During the second quarter of this year, total coal production was about 1.96 million tons.
Gross electricity production in thermal power plants was 1,512.0 GWh, and in hydro power plants about 100.2 GWh.
Regarding the import-export balance, during the second quarter Kosovo imported 509.4 GWh of electricity, while 643.1 GWh was exported.
Consumption in this period amounted to 1,043.8 GWh, which is 0.4% more than in the same period last year.
