BayWa sells stake in 41.7-MW Italian wind farm
, NewsBayWa re renewable energy GmbH today said it has sold back to family-owned developer NISIDA its 65% interest in the 41.7-MW Lacedonia wind park in Italy.
The BayWa AG subsidiary bought the stake in the project in 2014. It provided the equity and took charge of the construction and bankability. The project in the Campania region was completed at the end of 2015, since when BayWa re has been responsible for ongoing operation management. It will continue to provide that service.
In Italy, BayWa re sold two other wind projects with a combined capacity of 30 MW last year. Meanwhile, it has commenced construction of 70 MW of new wind capacity.
