Bosnia: Concession for SHPP Jabuka awarded
, InvestorsThe Prime Minister of Bosnian-Podrinje Canton Gorazde Emir Okovic and the Director of the local company EKO-REM Mensur Pekmez have signed an agreement to award a concession for the construction small hydropower plant Jabuka on Kolina river near Ustikolina.
The concession agreement envisages the construction of 700 kW facility with annual generation of 3.1 GWh of electricity, while the concession period will last for 30 years. The value of this investment is about 1.4 million euros and the electricity generated by the SHPP will be enough to cover the consumption of the local community.
The construction of the plant should be completed in October this year and local companies will be contracted for construction works. The company EKO-REM has already realized several energy projects in BPK Gorazde, including the construction of SHPP Kosova on Kosovska river.
