Bosnia: Works on the Construction of Hydroelectric Power Plant Vranduk started
, NewsWorks on the construction of hydroelectric power plant whose operation is planned for the end of 2019 started in Vranduk near Zenica.
PE Elektroprivreda BiH signed an agreement earlier this year with the company Strabag AG Austria and Koncar – KET, whose value is 112.3 million BAM.
Preparatory works started in the first months of this year, and yesterday machines came out on the field and set up the board on which is information on the construction of hydroelectric power plant with the capacity of 20 MW.
Hydroelectric power plant Vranduk is the first in the system of Elektroprivreda since 1990.
The construction will allow the employment of local labor force, especially during construction activities, while the period of the operation of facility will provide opening of new work places and dividing concessions, water and other types of compensation, multi-million revenues to the local community and the FBiH.
With the aim of the construction of HPP Vranduk, Elektroprivreda BiH invested 1.5 million BAM in the implementation of 34 infrastructure projects in villages that gravitate to this production facility.
Preliminary work on the construction of HPP started on the 1st of February, and completion of the works is planned on the 11th of November 2019.
