Montenegro: Montenegro’s Synergy Powers Up 1.7 Mln Euro SHPP
, InvestorsMontenegrin company Synergy has put into operation the 615 kW small-sized hydro power plant (SHPP) Vrelo in the municipality of Bijelo Polje, the municipal authorities said on Monday.
The 1.7 million euro ($1.9 million) power plant, located in the village of Lijeska, is planned to have annual output of 2.7 GWh of electricity, the municipality said on its website.
“We have another project in progress, plans for one large project whose concession is currently suspended and four small hydro power plants whose construction has already drawn interest from investors,” the mayor of Bijelo Polje Aleksandar Zuric said.
Montenegro granted Synergy the permit to build the Vrelo power plant in May 2012 .
