Mahmutovic adds that mining will now be based on modern technologies and methods, which aim to minimize the negative impact on the environment. In the current phase, as we call them, of investigative works, we are also working on the rapid rehabilitation of the terrain where the sampling is taking place. Eastern Mining d.o.o. also plans to use a number of engineering solutions aimed at reducing noise emissions into the environment, wastewater treatment, and preventing emissions of pollutants into the air, water and soil. All the efforts made by the company Eastern Mining are taken seriously by BiH authorities, which recently approved the expansion of the concession area for this company, so that the total area covered by the concession now amounts to 4,078 ha, or 40.78 km 2.
