The thermal power plant with used working hours last year violated the international obligation to limit production to 20 thousand hours, the European Environment Agency announced, the Green Home announced. The non-governmental organization said that the Agency, based on the report submitted by Montenegro, announced that the TPP used 7.19 thousand working hours last year.

The NGOs reminded that Elektroprivreda, in the meantime, signed an agreement on the ecological reconstruction of TPP Pljevlja, with a consortium of companies DEC International – Bemax – BB Solar – Permonte, headed by the Chinese company Dongfang.

Also, as they stated, the EC Secretariat and its director Janez Kopac announced that they would most likely initiate misdemeanor proceedings against the Montenegrin Government due to, as it was suspected at the time, used working hours of TPP Pljevlja with outdated technology.
