The largest rooftop photovoltaic system in Europe launched by Audi and E.ON in Hungary
, NewsAudi and E.ON have launched the largest rooftop photovoltaic system in Europe, with a capacity of 12 MW, which includes the installation of 35,000 solar modules at Audi’s logistics center in Győr, Hungary.
Together with E.ON, Audi has built a solar park on the roofs of two logistics centers at its headquarters in Djer, covering an area of about 160,000 square meters, reports Agerpres.
According to E.ON, the solar park will supply more than 9.5 GWh of electricity annually. That is enough to supply 5,000 households and will contribute to reducing CO2 emissions by 6,000 tons a year.
As stated in the announcement of the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the value of the investment is 4 billion forints (11.1 million euros).
